Theme change and a job interview.

I was getting annoyed at the old theme, so I chose another template that I'll be tweaking on my free time (basically, whenever I feel like it right now. :P) I'll be making a header image later, I don't feel up to it at the moment. So whoever reads this can expect changes as I get around to doing those. On the other hand, I have a skill assessment test tomorow for Client Logic (Call center for internet providers... funs! :/). I really need the money right now, so hopefully everything should go fine and I'll have a job and make some money. I started playing frisbee again yesterday, we bought a good frisbee disk today. That should be entertaining, hehe.

Got my video card.

I got my X700 today, and I have to say, there is a BIG difference between the X300 and the X700. My 3DMark 2k5 test went from ~700 to 3200. And also, I can now run GTA San Andreas at 1280x1024 with everything on max except AA at 1x. This is pretty good though. Also, a friend did an awesome wiring job for my PC, so now the window doesn't look all clogged up in wires anymore. Appart from that, nothing much new, cept I kicked some ass at Forza. :D

Uneventful times.

I haven't posted in a while... Mainly because there's not much happening right now. I'm gonna try and get into a good sleep cycle again, and I'm gonna start applying at more places this week, I really need money right now. I should be receiving my real video card tomorow, or so they said to me... Their dates have never been right so far, but whatever. The X300 is doing fine anyway. Apart from that, I won another 10$ at poker, looking good on that end, haha.

Some reading done

Just finished the first book of the Hitchhiker's guide to the glaxy. It's very interesting so far, but I can't wait to read the other books since I already saw most of the story of the first book in the movie. There are some significant differences between the two, bt the basic plot is still pretty much the same. Got some more time trying out the computer and I have to say it's fun to have a good computer again. Haven't receive my x700 yet, but I should have it any day now.

New PC == Assembled.. minus some details

Today was Awesome. We got a new BBQ, made another good supper on it. I won at poker with my friends. and best of all, my processor got in! There was one hitch though. Apparently, the cooling unit of my x700 was snapped in half, so he had to return/order a new one. But instead of making me wait, he's lending me an x300 in the meantime for me to use in my comp. It's running pretty well as far as I can see now, just need to try some more games on it and see how it can handle it... hehe.

3 days left until I should receive the processor...

This is taking forever, and the heat is driving me even more crazy! Played a lot of DDR today, not the mat since I live on the second floor appartment... and also way too hot for that. Fun times all around I guess, we also had a great big BBQ supper with hamburgers and baked potatos.... yummy!

New Processor info...

Seems my processor is now in stock at the supplier guy, and that it will be shipping tomorow or friday. This means I'll have the chip at the beginning of next week... I can't wait! Too bad this computer is starting to crash pretty much every 5 minutes.... and I can't really do much on it anymore either. This only makes the wait even longer!

Another day gone, still no computer...

There goes Tuesday! It was a pretty good day over all. It's the first day where we've seen the sun in a very good while, and we managed to clean out the gross bottles we had been piling up for about 10-12 months... finally. Those bottles were worth 80$, we'll probably buy pizza and other things with that, since it'd be mostly pointless to split it. Also, we had some awesome chicken sandwiches on the BBQ. Truly delicious. I checked the Stock for the chip on NCIX and it went up again... hopefully I'll get my chip really soon, else I dunno what's gonna happen...
