Relaxing... also looking for another source of income.

I finally quit from Client Logic after 3 weeks of work. I left the job last Thursday after my shift, at least I can pay rent with what I made there. I'm relaxing a bit again, but I'll try to find another job, or at least a way to make some money to pay back some things. I've finished Killer7, was planning to do a review of the game in this post, but I'm heading home for the week-end in about an hour and a half, so I'll write the review while I'm back home.

Wish I had more free time.

I finally got around to start playing some games again. I started playing Shining Tear before work monday and now I'm taking my before work time as game playing time. I'm thinking of finally finishing xenosaga II after I am done with shining tear, which shouldn't be too long. I started taking calls Tuesday, and I have to say it's not too fun. I was supposed to start monday, but since they couldn't put me in the queue all I had to do was shadow calls. I had Dial training today, it was rather boring, but also easy and didn't involve taking calls.

I'm not sure how long I'll stay at this job, but I will stay at least till the end of next week so I can make some more money, working even longer than that would be a real plus though. Now it's time to go get some sleep before another day of work.

In class traning over.

I'm finally done with the in class training. It wasn't too bad, considering we were getting paid while in training. This week I start OCP training, so I'll be on the phones starting tomorow at 19:15... I got a graveyard shift. My new schedule is gonna be Monday to Friday from 19:15 to 3:15... These weeks are gonna be long, but at least I get the rest of the day. That schedule is gonna be used for 3 weeks then I get appointed a schedule up to september, and I'll probly quit around there. If not, I'll get a shift bid and may work while at university.

Appart from that, I'm nearing the end of Killer 7, only two more chapters to go I think. Might be getting Nanostray this week, I'll see if I can fit it in my budget. I've been playing Meteos a lot, so that was definately a good buy. More as things develop.

Week1 of training..... Done.

Finally done with week 1 of training, now starting week 2. I didn't like call centers before and even less now. I don't think I'll work much longer than I need to, so as soon as I have enough money to pay back my debts, I'll probably quit. I don't like my hours too much for training, 4:30 PM to 12:45 AM, could be better. I got Meteos this week, it's an awesome little puzzle game for the DS, great for killing time. I also got Killer7 for the gamecube, the game is pretty great so far, I finished the first 3 chapters.

Appart from work, everything's pretty normal. I could go for some more sleep though, my current schedual is not a good match for me. Hopefully things will go well at work and I won't have to work during university time. I'll have a post on Killer7 and Meteos sometimes soon, I'm too sleepy to write something as big as of now.

Hidden Gems - Psychonauts

I know this isn't a nintendo title, but I'll give my impressions on a very good game that deserves a lot more attention from everyone. I've been following this game since it was due out on the Dreamcast and since then has been looking for a publisher until Majesco picked up the title. The game in question is Psychonauts, a brilliant platformer out for PS2, Xbox and PC.

This platformer takes you to a summer camp for psychics as you play the role of Razputin, better known as Raz. As you progress through the game, you will unlock the potential of your powers as you gather items while being entertained by the various characters that populates the summer camp grounds. Among the powers you will receive are the power of levitation, combustion and psy blast. You'll need to use your various powers to solve puzzles and reach hard to get items. The visual theme is a bit moody, and even dark, but the humor and story are refreshing and well played out.

This game will keep you occupied for about 20-30 hours if you want to get all the collectables in the game, which isn't too hard, nor too easy. I did it with my dark TV and it was quite a challenge. The music and voice overs all goes well together to create a great atmosphere for the game. The controls are easy to master and the powers are controlled very intuitively. A lot of work has been put in this game and it truly shines. I give it a 5 out of 5 and recommends it to anyone who likes platformers. Play it now! :P

Last week of no work...

I finally got a job at Client Logic (Tech support for internet service). I'm starting my in class training on the 4th, and the classes are from 4:30 pm to 12:45 am. These classes will last two weeks, so that's one easy paycheck. Since I won't get the chance to do so in a while (and also because it was convenient :P) I took my last week without job back home. Seems we have a cat thing now, and also some other changes to the house, but I got some sleep and that's great for me.

I almost bought a car while back home since I was getting a good deal on it. I can afford it, but decided against it ssince it would make me rather tight on money and I would be stuck with obligations for a little while. I'd rather keep the extra cash for now and if I really need a car, I'll get one when that happens.

I started playing Psychonauts this week, *AWESOME* platformer. The story us truly refreshing, and the game has a nice visual theme. The level design is pretty spot on, and the cut-scenes are well paced and also very entertaining. I should be nearing the end of the game, and I'm still really hooked on it. This is the first platformer in a while where I've been gathering all the items during my first pass, this is an excellent title.
